Reporting Copyright Infringement

YTsounds respects the intellectual property rights of others and expects its users to do the same. In accordance with the Digital Millennium Copyright Act (DMCA), we will respond promptly to notices of alleged copyright infringement that comply with the DMCA.

How to File a DMCA Takedown Notice

If you believe your copyrighted work has been copied and is accessible on YTsounds in a way that constitutes copyright infringement, please send a written notification containing the following information:

  1. Identification of the copyrighted work — Describe the work you claim has been infringed, or provide a representative list if multiple works.
  2. Identification of the infringing material — Provide the specific URL(s) of the Sound page(s) on YTsounds where the material is located.
  3. Your contact information — Full name, mailing address, telephone number, and email address.
  4. Good faith statement — A statement that you have a good faith belief that the use of the material is not authorized by the copyright owner, its agent, or the law.
  5. Accuracy statement — A statement, under penalty of perjury, that the information in your notice is accurate and that you are the copyright owner or authorized to act on the copyright owner's behalf.
  6. Signature — A physical or electronic signature of the copyright owner or authorized representative.

Where to Send

Submit takedown notices through the Report button found on every Sound page, selecting "Copyright" as the reason. This is the fastest path — your report creates a moderation ticket that is reviewed promptly.

Counter-Notification

If you believe a Sound was removed in error, you may submit a counter-notification. Your counter-notification must include: identification of the removed material, a statement under penalty of perjury that you have a good faith belief the material was removed by mistake, your contact information, and consent to jurisdiction of the federal court in your district.

Repeat Infringer Policy

YTsounds will terminate user accounts that are the subject of repeated DMCA takedown notices. We maintain records of all takedown notices and track infringer history.
